1 cup sugar
2 eggs
⅔ cup shortening
1 tbsp. orange zest
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ cup orange juice
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, eggs, shortening and orange zest.
Add flour, soda, salt and orange juice.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 375º for 7-8 minutes or until lightly brown.

Frost with mixture of powdered sugar, orange juice and a little butter to make it creamy.

I got this recipe after a cookie swap at church but I don't remember who gave it to me. These are great if you like a cookie that is not so sweet.
