½ Head of Cabbage, shredded or cut up
4-6 Potatoes, sliced
1 Medium Onion, chopped
2 Long Links of Sausage (about 1 cup) or Diced Ham
1 Cup White Sauce (see White Sauce Recipe)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Grated Cheese (optional)

In a baking dish or pan, layer the potatoes, onions, cabbage, and sausage. Make several layers. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour white sauce over the top and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake 1 hour at 375º.

This is a favorite that I ate a lot on the Russia part of my mission. I sometimes make it in a frying pan without the white sauce and potatoes (depending on how much milk I have on hand) and it is still delicious! Just saute everything together.
