2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons cocoa (Hershey's)
1 cup water
1 cube butter
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla

Frosting:
1/2 cube butter
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 tablespoons buttermilk
1/2 box powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Optional: chopped walnuts (or almonds)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Mix sugar, flour, baking soda and cinnamon together in large bowl. Melt cocoa, water and butter together. Add to dry ingredients and mix to remove lumps. Add butter milk, eggs and vanilla. Pour batter into cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.

Melt butter, cocoa and buttermilk and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar. Stir until smooth and add vanilla and walnuts (optional).

Spread frosting on warm cake.

*Instead of mixing nuts into frosting, sprinkle walnuts on top of frosting before frosting cools.
