"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Directions:
Mix flour, cinnamon, sugar and cardamom in a bowl.
Prepare crust.
Put ⅓ of the flour mixture in the bottom of the crust.
Add the berries.
Put the rest of the flour mixture on top.
Dot with butter.
Bake 45 min at 350º

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Adjust berries to what you have. You will want 5 C of fruit. Or close!
After adding the top layer of flour mixture, wiggle it in a bit with a fork. I haven’t tried tossing the berries in the mixture but it might work.
I like a light spritz of lemon on anything with blueberries.
I make a lattice top crust. Roll out the dough, cut it into strips. First strip goes slightly off center over the pie. Subsequent strips are woven in.

You can skip cardamom if you want. It adds a nice subtle flavor unless you add too much.
