Brine:
1 quart water
1 cup vinegar
¼ cup canning salt

Dill
Alum or cream of tarter for crispness (¼ tsp)
Garlic, optional
Peppercorns, optional
Jalapeños, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Bring brine to a boil, desolving salt. Place a dill head and crisper in bottom of hot jar. Fill jars tightly with cucumbers, be sure to leave some head room. Add optional peppercorns, garlic, and/or jalapeños. Fill jars with hot brine to one half inch of top. Run plastic knife down sides to release air bubbles. Put on lids.
