4 1/4 C fresh blueberries, divided
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C water
2 Tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in small amount of cold water
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 9” pie crust

Directions:
Prepare pie crust according to direction for baked shell; let cool. Wash and dry blueberries, removing any stems

In medium saucepan, combine 1 1/4 C blueberries, sugar, and water. Bring berries slowly to a boil. Cook 10 minutes until berries soft. Force berry mixture through a sieve. Return berry purée to saucepan; discard skins. Add cornstarch mixed with water to saucepan; cook gently until berry purée thickens. Remove berry mixture from heat and stir in extracts; let cool. Gently stir thickened berry purée into remaining blueberries in large bowl; spread evenly in prepared pie crust; chill. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
