6 pieces of bread
1 pound ground sausage
2 cups shredded cheese (I use cheddar)
9 eggs
3 cups milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Line 13 x 9 pan with 6 pieces of bread
Cook, crumble and cool 1 pound of sausage and spread over bread.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over sausage layer.
Mix eggs, milk salt and dry mustard with electric mixer and pour over bread, sausage and cheese.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350º for 45 minutes or until eggs are set.

You can use pork or turkey sausage with this recipe and also different types or combinations of cheese depending on your preference.
I use 2% milk instead of whole, but I would not recommend using skim milk as the casserole may be watery.
For added heat you can add black pepper or hot sauce to taste.
This is a great make-ahead dish for a brunch or holiday morning.
