Ingredients:
1 (¼-oz.) package yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
¼ cupe lukewarm water
1 cup scalded milk
¼ cup sugar
⅔ stick of butter
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
¼ cup water
2 egg yolks

Directions:
Dissolve the yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in lukewarm water. Scald the milk and cool slightly. Add the sugar, egg yolks, butter, salt, and yeast mixture. Blend well. Then add the remaining ingredients and mix. Cover and let dough rise for about 1 ½ hours or until very light.
Shape into small balls about the size of a walnut and place on a lightly greased pan. Brush with melted butter and let rise about ½ hour. Make indentations and fill with your favorite filling (Connie uses SOLO pastry filling if it is available, otherwise you can use pie filling). Let rise about about 10 minutes.
Bake for 10 minutes at 400°F. Dust with powdered sugar when cooled.
Enjoy!
