2 C chopped rhubarb
2 C flour
1 C buttermilk
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C white sugar
1/2 C shortening (oil will not work)
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 C sugar with 1 T cinnamon in separate bowl

Preheat over to 350º

Dredge your rhubarb in the flour.

Mix your shortening with your brown and white sugars, then add vanilla, salt and baking soda.

Add shortening mix and buttermilk alternately to your floured rhubarb.

Pour mixture into greased 9 x 11 pan and top with sugar/cinnamon mix.

Bake for 45 minutes

Enjoy with cool whip or ice cream.
