6 large eggs
11/2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour

Directions:
Beat butter and cream cheese on medium speed of mixer for 2 minutes. Gradually add the sugar- beat for 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla.
Combine flour and salt. Gradually add flour to the butter mixture, beating on a low speed just until blended, after each addition.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured 10” bunt or tube pan. There may be extra batter that I place in a pan of 6 small bunt cakes. (These usually only take 20-30 minutes)
300 degrees preheated oven. Place a 2 cup glass measuring cup filled with water in the oven with the cake.
It will take 1 hour and 30 minutes for the cake to bake. Using a toothpick to be sure it comes out clean.
Place the cake on a wire rack. Cool completely. Remove to a plate.

Personal Notes:
This recipe is from a good friend of mine, Lori Clark, who now lives in Virginia. I make this every year at the Christmas holidays. It is delicious without any frosting or topping. It seems to get better as it sits. Enjoy!
