Ingredients: 1 1/4 CUPS SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE MORSELS 14 OZ (1 CAN) SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK 1 1/4 CUP MELTED BUTTER 1 CUP FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR (LIGHT OR DARK) 2 SLEEVES SALTINE CRACKERS (USE SALTED VICE UNSALTED) 1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS

Directions:PREHEAT OVEN TO 425. LINE A 13x9x2 PAN WITH ALUMINUM FOIL ('NON STICK' IS BEST). POUR 1/4 CUP OF THE BUTTER INTO THE PAN. LAY SALTINES END TO END TO COVER THE ENTIRE PAN. BREAK IN HALF IF NEEDED TO ENSURE COVERAGE. POUR REMAINING BUTTER (1 CUP) INTO A SAUCEPAN, ADD SUGAR AND MILK AND MIX THOROUGHLY. IT'S READY WHEN IT TURNS TO CARAMEL COLOR. SPREAD MIXTURE OVER CRACKERS, SLOWLY SPREADING TO COVER ALL. BAKE AT 425 FOR 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL BUBBLY. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND SPRINKLE CHOCOLATE MORSELS OVER ENTIRE PAN. WAIT 5 MINUTES FOR CHOCOLATE TO MELT, THEN SPREAD CHOCOLATE. SPRINKLE NUTS OVER CHOCOLATE AND PAT GENTLY DOWN TO FIRM IN PLACE. REFRIGERATE FOR ONE HOUR (OR FREEZE FOR 30 MINS). ONCE CHILLED, THE MIXTURE CAN BE PEELED OFF THE FOIL AND CUT INTO SQUARES. |
