Ingredients:  
Make two crusts from the Deep Dish Pie Crust* except do not bake. Or you can use the Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust.

Heat oven to 425 degrees

Mix together
1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 dashes of salt

Peel 8-10 medium red delicious apples. Cut into slices. Mix together with the above ingredients. Turn into pastry lined pie plate. Dot with 3 tablespoons cut up butter or margarine. Cover with top crust that has slits cut into it. Seal edges. Cover edge with 3 inch strip of aluminum foil. Remove foil during the last 15 minutes of baking. Bake until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through the slits in the crust. Total baking time about 40-50 minutes.
