1 Yellow or chocolate cake
5 tabs of flour
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
1 tsp of vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bake your favorite yellow or chocolate cake in either one 9X13 inch or two 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. If using a 9X13-inch pan, cut cake into 2 halves to make layers. Cut 2 round cakes into 4 layers

Filling:
Gradually add milk to flour in a pan. Cook over medium-low heat on stove until thickened stirring constantly. Cool.

Beat the rest of the ingredients in large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add cooled milk mixture and beat again until fluffy.

Spread filling between cake layers; store covered for at least 24 hours. Do not refrigerate. Layers can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.

For cake I use Duncan Hines butter cake mix and for the shortening and margarine I use butter for both.
