Personal Notes:
Karen and brother Rob were married in 1997, a year after our Mother died. I know it was a comfort to her to know that they were together. I will always be grateful to Karen for how well she takes care of my brother. Karen has had a variety of career experience--she was a hairdresser and then owner of a personal care home. She and Rob lead a quiet life since he, at age 77, still insists on working four days a week! He has been a builder all his adult life and has villages of gorgeous homes to show for it. In recent years he has built a goodly portion of Butler with luxury homes. Asked why he doesn't retire, he says that he loves to work. He and his son Scott are R.E Erdley and Sons Construction. Grandson Justin has joined them and now the company has three generations of Erdleys. There is a farmer near the surface of Rob--he has raised beef cattle, and he always has a great garden. He was too young to remember our grandmother's huge raspberry patch, but he is trying to start his own. Maggie keeps him supplied with raspberry jam. They have Sophie, a gorgeous cocker spaniel, who is the love of their life.
