1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 cup Butter
2 teaspoon Maraschino Cherry Liquid
1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
3-4 drops of Red Food Color (more if you want a darker pink/red)
2 1/4 cups Flour
Bit of Salt
1/2 cup Maraschino Cherries drained and chopped
48 Hershey Kisses (Regular, but dark chocolate might be yummy)
(My sister had a note that she adds a little cherry flavor)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In large bowl combine powdered sugar, butter, cherry liquid, almond extract and food color. Blend well. Add flour and salt, mix.

Stir in cherries. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are light gold. Remove from oven. Immediately top each cookie with a candy kiss, pressing down firmly. (Don't press on the tip)
