1 beaten egg
1/2 c sugar
1 T melted butter
1/2 c whole milk
1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 c all purpose flour

oil for frying

Directions:

Combine first 5 ingredients until smooth.

Combine next 5 ingredients thoroughly, then add to the first 5 mixture.

Drop by rounded teaspoon (eating size) into hot fat carefully, at 350º. Fry until
brown. They'll usually turn over on their own, but may need a little help with the
rolling over !

When mostly cooled: roll some in cinnamon sugar, some in white sugar, some in powdered sugar, then enjoy.

Do not store in airtight container as the sugar on the outside will get soggy.

Schenken (I believe). These are SO tasty, and best eaten the same day they're made.
