2 lb Red cabbage
3 T Oil
1 Onion (large)
2 Apples (large)
2-3 T Vinegar
¼ pt Water
3 T Sugar
2 T Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Remove outer leaves of cabbage, cut into 4 section, wash and shred finely. Melt oil, add onion and fry until golden color. Add cabbage & cook for short time. Add: salt, vinegar, water & sliced apples.
Cook until tender with covered lid for 1½ hours.

*Red wine can be used instead of water and if no apples on hand, use red currant jelly.
