2 Tblsp olive oil
2 lbs sirloin steak cut into about 1 in cubes
1 large yellow onion chopped
1/4 c chili powder
1 Tblsp garlic powder
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried basil
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans (14.5 oz) beef broth
1 c chopped cilantro (about 3/4 of a bunch)
1 cinnamon stick
3 bay leaves
2 jalapeņos, seeded and sliced lengthwise 3 times each
1 Tblsp of yellow corn meal
Garnishes: cheddar cheese sour cream

Use 5 qt Dutch oven
Heat oil brown steak in two batches, remove with slotted spoon to a bowl
Add ground beef, chorizo, and onions, breaking up meat
Return Serling to pot
Stir in remaining ingredients
Bring to a boil, reduce heat.
Simmer 2 hours stir occasionally
Before serving discard cinnamon stick and bay leaves and jalapeņos.

Serve with garnishes
