1 can crushed pineapple (3 cups - fill the rest with applesauce to make the 3 cups)
3 c brown sugar
4 tsp soda
1 c butter
1 lb raisins
1 lb nuts
5 c flour
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp allspice
½ tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt

Mix well with hands - it will be hard to mix.
Bake at 350º for 1 to 2 hours, longer if needed.
