½ c vegetable shortening
1 ½ c sugar
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 ¾ c flour, sifted
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat the eggs lightly and blend into sugar mixture. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda together and stir into creamed mixture. Cover and chill for 1 hur or longer.

Preheat oven to 400º. Drop cookie misture byt teaspoonful, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
