Easy Salsa Chicken Recipe

Ingredients: 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, diced into 1" cubes 1 pkg of reduced sodium taco seasoning 1/2 tsp ground chipolte pepper (optional if you like it spicier) 1 cup of favorite salsa 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1 pkg of Tortillas Sour cream (optional) Guacamole (store bought or home made - optional)

Directions: |
Directions:1. Preheat oven to 375º; lightly greased 9x13" inch or similar baking dish.
2. Place diced chicken breasts in zip lock type bag and sprinkle taco seasoning over chicken, seal bag and shake well.
3. Spread seasoned chicken in an even layer in baking dish
4. Pour pour salsa over chicken and spread with back of spoon for even coat.
5. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes until chicken reads 165º with instant read thermometer.
6. Remove from oven and carefully drain off collected juices from baking dish.
7. Sprinkle shredded cheese across top of chicken, return to oven and continue baking for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Serve with tortillas, guacamole and sour cream if desired |
