1 5lb chuck roast
1package dry onion soup mix
1 onion sliced
1 bay leaf
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can coke classic

Directions:
Directions:
Put the chuck roast in a Dutch oven with lid. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over the top of the roast.

Place sliced onion around meat in pot. Add bay leaf.

Whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and coke. Pour over the top of the roast.
Cover and roast 325 degrees for 3 1/2 hours.

If desired you can add raw vegetables at this time. If you are adding vegetables cook an additional 1 1/2 hours or until tender.

Serve vegetables on the side. (Remove bay leather before serving)
