1 c. margarine
1 c. oil, butter flavored optional
1 c. powdered sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
½ tsp. salt
4 c. + 4-6 tbsp. flour
1 c. chopped pecans (can substitute almonds)
½ tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. butter flavor, optional
½ tsp. almond extract (only if using almonds)

Directions:

Cream together margarine, oil, and powdered sugar. Add eggs. Sift together baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and flour. Add pecans (or almonds). Add wet ingredients to dry and mix. Add vanilla extract, butter flavor, and almond extract (if using almonds). Refrigerate, roll into balls, dip in white sugar, and flatten with fork. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
