1 lb. Ground Meat (we use hamburger or turkey burger)
1 Bell pepper, chopped with seeds removed
½ Onion, chopped
½ Teaspoon minced garlic or 2-3 cloves crushed
1 Tablespoon of favorite cooking oil (Vegetable, Coconut, etc.)
6 Hamburger Buns or Slices of Bread

Sauce:
1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
⅔ Cup Ketchup
1/3 Cup Water
1 Tablespoon Sugar or Sugar Substitute
1 Teaspoon Yellow Mustard
¾ Teaspoon Chili Powder
½ Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
½ Teaspoon Salt
¼ Teaspoon Pepper

Directions:
Brown meat in a medium or large frying pan with oil, bell peppers, onions and garlic. While meat is cooking, combine sauce ingredients in a small sauce pan. Mix thoroughly and cook on medium, stirring constantly, until just about to boil then remove from heat. When meat is cooked, stir sauce into the meat. Serve on or over hamburger buns or favorite bread.

Favorite Family Variations: add a can of drained corn or a cup of frozen corn to the meat while cooking. Zucchini is also a yummy stir-in. Can use 1 lb. of macaroni noodles instead of hamburger buns or bread. Super yummy as a casserole with shredded cheese on the top.
