1 peck tomatoes (35-40 tomatoes)
2 large onions
4-6 large green bell peppers
6-8 small hot peppers
4 red bell peppers
1 tbsp garlic salt
1-2 tbsp salt
1 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Drop tomatoes in boiling water until skins crack, then dunk in cold water. Peel tomatoes. Chop all veggies finely and blend in blender. Pour into a large pot and add remaining ingredients Cook on low for 3 hours or until foam disappears and salsa thickens.

Wash jars in hot, soapy water. Rinse well. When sauce is ready to can, boil a pan of water. Dip empty jar and lids in boiling water 2-3 seconds. Quickly fill jars to within 1/2" of top of jar.Cap the jar. Screw lid on as tightly as possible.

1 bushel yielded 20 pints in 1987; this recipe netted 10 pints.

Marti uses 4 green peppers, 6 hot peppers, and 2 tbsp salt. The other measurements are Lavonne's.
