1 (8-ct.) tube refrigerated biscuits
1 lb. breakfast sausage
2 Tbsp. butter
¼ c. all-purpose flour
2 ½ c. milk, divided
¼ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
7 eggs
1 (8 oz.) block Colby Jack cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 350º and grease a 9x13 baking dish. Cut each biscuit into 6 pieces and scatter pieces in bottom of baking dish. Cook sausage, crumbling while it cooks. Remove with a slotted spoon to paper-towel lined plate, leaving about ¼ c. of sausage in the pan. Add butter to pan and set over medium heat. Add flour and stir and cook for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in 2 c. milk. Add seasonings. Simmer until thickened. Remove from heat. Whisk together eggs and remaining ½ c. milk. Season with a little salt and pepper. Sprinkle sausage over biscuits. Sprinkle half of cheese over sausage. Pour egg mixture on top, followed by gravy and remaining cheese. Bake for 30 minutes.
