4oz of plain flour
2oz of cornflour
4oz of butter
2oz of caster sugar
For the filling
4oz of butter or margarine
170g of condensed milk
2tbsp of golden syrup
For the decoration
4oz of white or plain melted chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 160ºC
Sift the flour and cornflour into a bowl and then stir in the caster sugar
Add butter and rub together until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs
Knead ingredients to form a ball of dough
Wrap the dough in clingfilm and chill in the fridge for 30 mins
Roll out the dough to 1/8 thickness and place in the baking tray
Bake for 15 minutes
Whilst the base is baking and cooling, make the filling
Heat the filling ingredients over a low heat and bring slowly to the boil
Allow the mixture to boil for 4-5 minutes, constantly stirring
Let the filling cool a little and then pour over the base, spreading evenly
Allow to become completely cold and then finish off with a layer of melted chocolate
Place in the fridge to set the chocolate
