Ingredients:
Ingredients:
½ pound salt pork, cut up
Large onion, cut in half
1 pound marrow beans - 3 cups (I can never find marrow so I use navy beans)
½ tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground mustard
2 tbsp molasses
½ cup ketchup
Black pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight; rinse. Add water to cover the beans. Boil with onion and cut up salt pork for one hour. Do not discard this liquid.
Mix the rest of the ingredients together and add to the beans in a bean pot. Add some of the liquid to the pot.
Bake for at least 4-5 hours at 250º-300º
Check the pot while baking. If it seems dry, add more of the reserved liquid.

Personal Notes:
This is an old recipe I got years ago from my friend’s mother, Mrs. Hamlett. I have been making it ever since for gatherings.
