Marinade:
⅓ c. olive oil
3 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
cayenne pepper to taste
½ tbsp. oregano
¾ tsp. season salt
1 tbsp. garlic, minced

Spicy Aioli:
½ c. mayo
favorite hot sauce to taste
(I like Cholula)

Directions:
Directions:
Trim spines and cut artichokes in half. Place in large pot and fill with water until ⅔ covered. Bring to boil, cook 30-40 minutes. Remove from pot. Spoon out feathery middle without hurting the heart. Spoon half the marinade over the inside of the artichoke. Grill facedown at medium/high heat, remove once there is a nice char. Spoon remaining marinade over artichokes. Serve with aioli.
