2 # bag frozen hash browns
1 pint sour cream
1 stick butter, melted
½ c. chopped onion
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
1 cans cream of chicken soup
Salt & pepper to taste
1 - 2 c. potato chips or corn flakes

Directions:

Thaw hash browns.

Mix together the rest of ingredients, add hash browns and put in 9" x 13" pan.

Sprinkle chips or cornflakes on top.

Bake at 350º for 1 hours.

Variation:
Karen uses 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, mixes half of the butter with the chips or cornflakes and bakes for 1 1/2 hours.
