-2 cups of leaves, tightly packed (I recommend 1 1/2 cups basil leaves, 1/2 cup mint leaves; ratio can be adjusted - see comments)
-1/2 cup chopped walnuts
-5-6 garlic cloves
-1/2 cup parmesan cheese
-1/2 cup olive oil
-Salt to taste

-Toast walnuts in a small skillet over low to medium heat for 3-5 minutes (just until fragrant)
-Mix basil, mint, garlic, parmesan, and toasted walnuts in a food processor and pulse until coarse mixture forms.
-Begin drizzling olive oil while pulsing until desired consistency reached.

Mint grows like a weed, but my basil was slower to grow. So, I supplemented mint to have enough leaves to make the Pesto (you cannot really taste the mint specifically once combined). The ratio of basil to mint can be adjusted based on your garden/yield to get ~2 cups of total leaves.
