200g chick peas

50g cooking oil

Fry 120g chopped red onions until golden brown

20g Chana Masala

1 tspn salt and the chick peas

800 ml fresh water

½ tspn baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Soak 200g chick peas in a bowl of water overnight

Strain the water

In a large pan heat 50g cooking oil

Fry 120g chopped red onions until golden brown

Add 20g Chana Masala

1 tspn salt and the chick peas

Stir for 5 minutes then add 800 ml fresh water

Mix ½ tspn baking soda

Bring to a boil and cover

Simmer for 40 minutes on low heat

Alternatively you can use a pressure cooker for 20 minutes with 400 ml of water & ½ tsp baking soda
