Personal Chicken Biriyani
Ingredients for Marination
1. 1. Chicken Leg quarter cut into 2 pieces
2. ½ tbsp. Ginger and Garlic paste
3. 1 tbsp. Chili powder
4. ½ tbsp. Salt
5. ½ tbsp. Coriander powder
6. ¼ tbsp. turmeric powder
7. ¼ tbsp. Garam masala
8. 1 tbsp. Lemon juice
9. 1 tbsp. Oil
10. 2 tbsp. yogurt
11. 2 tbsp. Fried Onions
Ingredients for Rice
1. 1.5 cup Long grain basmati Rice soaked in water for 15 minutes
2. 1 tbsp. Salt
3. 2 Cardamom
4. 1 Cinnamon
5. 2 Cloves
6. 1 Bay Leaves
7. ½ tsp Caraway Seeds
8. 1 tbsp. Oil
Ingredients for Garnish
1. ¼ cup Cilantro
2. 6-7 Mint leaves chopped
3. 1 tbsp. Fried Onions
4. 1 tbsp. Ghee

1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned in the marination list and let it rest for 2 hours.2. Let’s prepare the rice now. Take a medium size bowl add around 5 cups of water, Cardamom,
Cinnamon, Cloves, Bay leaves, Salt and Caraway seeds as mentioned in the ingredients list for
rice.
3. Once the water reaches bowling temperature add basmati rice and cook it till the rice is around
70% done make sure you don’t overcook it.
4. Drain the water away.
5. It’s time to assembly the biriyani. Take a round aluminum to-go container add the marinated
chicken as the bottom most layer topped with the semi/half cooked rice
6. Garnish with all the ingredients mentioned above.
7. Seal the container with aluminum foil.
8. Now bake it for 40 minutes at 375F.
9. That’s it we are done making our Personal Chicken Biriyani serve it with Raita and Mirchi ka
