½ cup shortening or margarine
2 ½ cups self-rising flour
1 ⅓ cups buttermilk
1 lb. pork sausage, cooked and drained

Directions:
Directions:
Cut margarine into flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk and stir Until dough clings together. Knead dough 10 to 12 strokes on a lightly floured surface. Roll out to a 16 x 12 rectangle. Sprinkle sausage evenly atop dough. Roll UP (jelly-roll style) starting from the long side. Slice into 1" slices. Place cut side down on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
