Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Cup of softened butter (you can use salted or unsalted)

3/4 Cup packed brown sugar

1/4 Cup white sugar

1 (3.5 ounce) package of INSTANT vanilla pudding mix

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or any other flavoring you choose, almond is delicious too!)

2 1/4 Cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips or 1 cup of mini chocolate chips (any flavor you like)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º (oven temperatures can vary.) I bake at 335º

2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugars, pudding mix, eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour and baking soda; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in your chocolate chips. Nuts can also be added if you like.

3. Drop by teaspoonfuls or you can use a cookie scoop. I use a round tablespoon and even it off. It makes perfect size cookies all the time! Or if you use a kitchen scale measure each cookie to .70 ounces, being all the same size, all the cookies will bake evenly. You will then have exactly 4 dozen cookies with a couple testers :)

4. Bake for 10 - 11 minutes or until lightly browned Be careful all ovens heat differently.

5. Let cool and enjoy! These can also be frozen before you cook them. Just scoop them out and place on a cookie sheet and flash freeze them till firm. The package in a ziplock back till needed.

Personal Notes:
When becoming a grandma for the first time, you wonder what your grand kids will call you. I always figured the traditional "grandma" would be fine. So When my grandson Luke Stoughton was born, I would always go visit when I could. When he got old enough, he and I would bake these delicious cookies together. He would grab the bench and stand on it to help add the ingredients. He thought I wouldn't notice and he would sneak a taste of the cookie dough. At one point he would taste everything to see what it tasted like, very small amounts of course! This has become such a tradition that he always asks if we can make cookies when I'm visiting! Since those early days, I am now known to him as Cookie Grandma!
