1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 3/4 c. sugar, divided
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. (16 ounces) sour cream
2 Tbs. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and 2 cups sugar.

2. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each
addition. Add vanilla, mix well.

3. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda
and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately
with sour cream.

4. Spoon a third of the batter into a greased and
floured 10-in. tube pan.

5. Combine the cinnamon, nuts and remaining
sugar; sprinkle a third over the batter. Repeat
layers twice.

6. Bake at 350º for 65-70 minutes or until a
toothpick inserted near the center comes out
clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing
from pan to a wire rack.
