2 Pie Shells, unbaked
2 c. Flour
1½ c. Brown Sugar
4 Tbsp. Shortening
2 Eggs
2 c. Molasses
1½ c. Hot Water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar and shortening like crumbs for pie dough. Take 2 c. of crumbs for top of pie. To the remainder of crumbs in a bowl add eggs, molasses and hot water. Mix well. Dissolve 2 tsp. baking soda in an extra ½ c. of water; add to the other liquid measure. Divide mix between the 2 pie shells. Cover with the reserved crumbs. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes. Then turn oven down to 350º and bake 30 more minutes or until crumb top is golden and pie is set.
