Directions:Take the first 3 ingredients and cream them together in a med. mixing bowl until smooth Take the next 3 ingredients and mix them together in a large mixing bowl until well combined. Add the first mixture to the second mixture and blend well.
Take your crushed Oreos and separate into three equal piles.
Choose a container (a trifle bowl works well for a nicer presentation) but anything will work. Put first pile of Oreos on bottom of container. Next place 1/2 of cream cheese mixture on top of Oreos. Repeat and finish off with the Oreos on top. Refrigerate for several hours -overnight is better--to allow it to firm up.
When this was first made people would put them in a container like a child's sand bucket and put things like gummy worms and flowers on top to decorate and serve with a child's shovel --hence the name Dirt Cake.

Notes: This is a recipe that me and my family take pride in. It is always the first dessert to go at family gatherings and that has transferred over to my work environment. It is by far my most requested recipe for potlucks. Caution, it is very rich so don't eat too much at once !
