Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 ¼ cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 running over teaspoons vanilla
2 cups cake flour
¾ cup Hershey’s cocoa (in the brown box)
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, Hershey’s cocoa, baking soda and salt,
Bake on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8 or 9 minutes – don’t worry when you look at them in the oven, they’ll be all puffy-looking, as if they are gonna end up being cakey, but when you take them out they fall and get chewy and wonderful.
People tell me they have successfully added nuts, peanut butter chips and all manner of other stuff to these, but give ‘em to me straight and keep ‘em coming.
