Directions:Mix yeast,1 tbsp of sugar and water together and set aside. Mix flou, sugar and Mazapán together. Mix well. Add butter and yeast mixture to flour and mix together. You can melt the butter a little to keep it easier to mix. Combine all the ingredients together to form a sticky dough. Place in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise for 1 hour. To make the pasta, combine all the ingredients together to make a soft dough. Set aside for later. Once dough is ready place on a floured surface. Knead dough for 10 minutes or until smooth. When I is ready make into balls the size you want your conchas to be. Make sure to put some manteca on the top of them. Take the pasta and make ball bid enough to cover the conchas when you flatten it out. Take one ball nd flatten it out to form a circle big enough to cover the concha. You can use a tortilla press or or our hands o make them. Place over the concha and press down lightly to help it stick to the top. You can use a knife to make the design on top of the concha. Try to only cut the pasta the pasta and not the con. Let rise for 0 before baking.
Bake 425 for 12-15 minutes. |
