Mix together 3 cups flour, salt, yeast and sugar. Melt ½ cup crisco. Add milk and heat to lukewarm. Add to flour mixture. Add eggs, and then about 3-4 cups flour. Knead until soft but not sticky (a little softer than bread dough). Cover and let rise for 2 hours. Cut dough in half and roll to ¼ inch thickness on a floured board. Cut with a doughnut cutter or glass. Cover while melting 3 lbs crisco in deep fryer. Add doughnuts bottom side up until brown, about 2 minutes each side. Drain on a paper towel.
