Strawberry Cake


Ingredients:

1 box (3 oz.) strawberry Jello
½ cup boiling water
¾ cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 box white cake mix
3 T. all purpose flour
¾ cup fresh or frozen strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
Mix Jello and boiling water, stirring Jello to dissolve and then cool.
Add vegetable oil and eggs (one at a time) to Jello mixture.
Use mixer at low speed and beat for 1 minute.
Add flour to cake mix and gradually add them to the Jello, vegetable oil and eggs mixture until well blended.
Add strawberries and turn mixer to high speed for approximately 1 minute
allowing the strawberries to become completely crushed.
Pour into a greased and floured tube or bundt pan and bake in a preheated 350º oven for 30 minutes.
 

Strawberry Cake Icing

1 stick butter
1/4 cup strawberries
1 box confectioners' sugar, sifted



Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and combine with strawberries.
Gradually add sifted confectioners' sugar and mix well.
If icing becomes too dry, add a small amount of juice from strawberries.
