½ lb margarine
1 pkg yeast
3 tbsp sugar
1 cup warm milk
3 eggs, divided

Directions:
Sprinkle sugar on yeast and set aside. Sift together flour and salt and cut in margarine, like for pie crust. Beat 3 egg yolks and add to milk, then add yeast mixture. Add liquid to flour mixture and blend gently - do not beat or knead.
Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll out into circles about ¼ inch thick. Beat 1 egg white until stiff. Add ¼ cup sugar, and then fold in 1½ cups finely chopped nuts. Spread nut mixture on dough, then roll and shape like horseshoe. Place on greased cookie sheet and set aside for ½ hour. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting and decorate with chopped nuts or cherries.

This is another specialty of Dorothy Smyntek. She definitely had a gift for making delicious deserts!
