1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb. hamburger
15 oz. can kidney beans
15 oz. can tomato sauce
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 Tbsp. hot sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Fry onions and hamburger until well done; drain off grease. Add remainder of ingredients, mix well and simmer for 15 minutes.

VARIATIONS:
-- Omit the kidney beans.
-- Substitute 2¼ cups tomato juice or 15 oz. stewed tomatoes for the tomato sauce.
-- Vary amount of chili powder used.
-- Substitute Rotel chili's for hot sauce.
-- Add fresh chili peppers (jalapenos or anaheim peppers)
