1½ c. salad oil
3 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3 c. eating apples, cut up (Granny Smith)
3 eggs
1 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Glaze
1 c. brown sugar
½ c. butter
¼ c. milk

Cake:
Sift together flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla and oil.
Stir in apples.
Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 pan at 350º for 50-55 minutes.

Glaze:
Boil 5 minutes or until slightly thick. Cool and pour on hot cake.
