2 lbs ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
3 sweet peppers, diced
2 Granny Smith apples, diced
1 36 oz can whole tomatoes, undrained
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 15 oz can chicken broth
1 4 oz can chopped green chilies, drained
2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon curry powder
1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 15 oz dark red kidney beans
2/3 cup slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, garlic and onion in a Dutch oven. Add remaining ingredients except the kidney beans and almonds.

Simmer meat mixture for 1 hour. After the hour, add the kidney beans and almonds and heat through.

Garnish each serving with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and raisins.
