4 T butter
2 onions, diced
3 cloves garlic, diced
1 lb cremini mushrooms, chopped in thick pieces
1 lb white button mushrooms, chopped in thick pieces
2 c rice (any kind)
1/2 c white wine
3 c chicken stock
salt/pepper
tumeric

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions garlic and mushrooms in butter about 5-10 minutes until liquid cooks off.

Add 2 c rice, 1/2 c white wine, and 3 c chicken stock.

Add a little salt, pepper and turmeric. Cover pot and let simmer 15 minutes.

This side dish is delicious with steak, instead of just regular mushrooms. I served this with steak and baked asparagus for John on Father's Day 2020. (See baked asparagus recipe. So easy!)
