5 cups flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water (105º-115º)
2 cups buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir into buttermilk. Add to dry ingredients and stir until moistened. Cover and chill.

When ready to use, roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/2"-3/4" thickness. Cut out biscuits with a 2" cutter and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400º for 12 minutes.

Dough will keep several weeks in refrigerator.
