28 to 35 saltines (~ one sleeve)
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. butter

1 t. vanilla
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 c. coconut or chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Line a 10x15 pan with nonstick or sprayed heavy duty foil. Lay saltines in a single layer to fill pan. Cook sugar, butter and salt 3-5 minutes, just until it comes to a boil and starts to darken. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour over saltines; spread to evenly coat. Bake at 400º for 5 minutes. Melt chocolate. Allow saltines to cool 1 minute; pour chocolate over saltines; spread. Sprinkle with coconut or nuts. Cool; chill overnight. Remove from pan and gently peel foil; cut.
