1 Cup flour
2 tablespoons Tahineh
3 cups smeed
1 ¼ cups rendered butter
1 cup sugar
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 ¼ cups yogurt
3 cups attar
½ cup blanched almonds
Dash of salt

Optional:

1 cup coconut (fine or coarse its up to you)

Directions:
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 400º

2) Mix smeed, sugar, and butter

3) Stir baking soda and baking powder with the yogurt. Add to smeed mixture. Blend together.

**OPTIONAL: Mix in your coconut after this step. Just fold it in with a spatula or spoon.

4) Grease 17” x 12” pan with Tahineh. Pour mixture into pan and smooth the top with 2 tablespoons of yogurt.

5) Cut into diamond shapes. Place a blanched almond on each piece

6) Bake at 400º for 30 min, or until brown. Let stand for 10 min.

7) Pour thin attar over the surface. Serve. (Attar recipe in book)
